The Beaches - Hollywood Ave.

Project Overview

This whole house renovation focused on all areas of the home with the exception of the basement. The scope of work included the kitchen, upstairs bath, flooring, drywall, trim, and painting. Significant structural work was also completed that raised flooring in the middle of the house by 2"

Cathy and Jeremy's kitchen featured Shaker cabinetry with simple white inset raised paneling. The style was offset with textured tumble marble tiles, and a granite countertop. Dark hardwood flooring contrasted the white cabinetry, and the removal of a bearing wall between the old kitchen and dining room opened up the space overlooking the many windows of the west of the house.

The small upstairs bathroom had many issues with plumbing and structure. The entire space needed to be taken down to the studs and floor joists. The new space included a storage area behind the tub, a new window, porcelain tile with decorative marble accents, and thermostatic system. The new bathroom is now a more functional space with pleasing visual elements.

Client Testimonial

Ashton is tops!

"We bought our first home just over a year ago and never did we think we would buy one that required such extensive renovations, but we did, and we found ourselves looking for a contractor when I came across Mark Ashton's website. After our first meeting, we knew he was the contractor for us. he was very professional and asked questions we had never considered. The scope of our project started our rather small, but grew extensively once we began tearing down walls (we all know what these old houses can be like!). Mar, Ron, & Rob were always willing to go the extra mile and consistently offered up alternatives to save on time and budget. In the end, we are in a home that we love, and will continue to call back on Mark and his crew to complete other projects for us in the future."
