Whole House Renovation

kitchenreno1b

Alan and Sue purchased a beautiful corner home in Davisville Village - Toronto; with an eye to renovating the entire inside of the house. Part of their renovation included their kitchen, which was dated and closed off from the dining room. The design included a traditional kitchen renovation with a contemporary twist: glass backsplash and modern appliances. A partition wall between the dining room and kitchen was removed and a new wood floor was installed throughout to contrast with the white cabinets. The wall adjacent to the kitchen was opened up to let in light.

This kitchen renovation in Toronto was featured in the "National Post", April 5, 2008, "Buy, renovate, move - in that order"

"Ashton Renovations did a complete renovation of our house. This was our first home renovation and we found Ashton Renovations through the internet. Naturally, we were very nervous in committing such a large project to a total stranger, but Mark's professional experience and genuine character was evident. Thankfully, Mark Ashton has not only performed excellent work, but he also gave us a genuinely happy experience.

Mark's expertise was much appreciated in making our environmentally friendly linoleum flooring with a "Dricore" subfloor for our low height basement. We are very happy with the look, warmth, and how easy it is to clean. Ashton Renovations did an excellent job of installing the custom kitchen sink where we had trouble with two other contractors. We are also very happy with Mark's suggestion of creating an open window to the hall, which brings in a lot of natural light. We relied on Mark extensively in the design of our home and also in choosing the right materials. Ashton Renovations did a great job in the renovation from start to finish."
