Amazing Basement Transformation
This basement in Toronto’s West end was extremely large, but was finished with very old materials and partitioned into many different rooms. After demolition the basement was completely opened up and featured 2 back bedrooms, a new 3 piece bathroom, office area, furnace room, and wet bar with a built in laundry. The special features of this space is the cork flooring and quartz countertops which are extremely special for a basement space.
Tracey's bathroom was due for a renovation and it was expanded by removing the closet in the hall in order to enlarge the shower and relocate the toilet. Heated flooring was installed beneath the floor and tied into the boiler system. The console sink adds to the original elements of the home yet retain the contemporary feeling of the bathroom.
