Mark Ashton Judges 2024 National Kitchen & Bath Association Design Awards
The NKBA Design Awards takes place yearly, and it is a wonderful opportunity for us to join our colleagues and honour the Best Kitchen & Bath Designs for the year. Since 2016 Ashton Renovations has attended the Design Awards yearly, and has been awarded Best Bathroom with 1st and 2nd place finishes. This year we decided to try something different and join the panel of judges. Mark Ashton is a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer and he took part.
How the Judging Took Place
There were countless entries in many of the categories, and entrants were required to submit professional photography, detailed floor plans and elevations, as well as a design statement outlining the client’s needs, project challenges, and the special elements of the project. It was really amazing to see all the creativity, and some of the kitchen and bath designs were impressive. What we really look for is the best of the best, while also ensuring the the designs stick to the NKBA guidelines. I have uploaded some plans from our previous entries that show the level of detail that is required to enter. They take a lot of time, and they show how much effort and thought goe into putting together a detailed kitchen and bath plan.

There were a lot of new winners this year, which was nice to see, and they really showcase excellent design and current design trends you would be interested in incorporating into your new kitchen and bath.
