Making Toronto Bathrooms Look Bigger

There are several tricks you can use to make your bathroom feel and look larger than it really is. The above bathroom renovation in Toronto’s Little Portugal does just that.

Firstly, make sure the wall surfaces are a lighter colour. Using dark colours on the walls (including the tiles) can close in a space. Instead contrast, as was done with the above bathroom tile accent and vanity material. Secondly, use a floating vanity. That little bit of space under the vanity can make a big difference. Lastly, the niche in the shower gives more depth to the bathroom, as does the dark coloured floor that grounds the whole bathroom above it.
